I can't think of a good title for this post.

I was going to call it "untitled" but what is the use, if you title something "untitled" then it has been titled. Untitled is a pretty useless word if you ask me.

Busy weekend ahead. I get to go find out why the doctor thinks my thyroid is messed up Friday morning. I think he just does stuff like that to get more money. Anyway, usually I look forward to the Fourth of July because It's my favorite holiday, but this year and last year the event has kind of gone downhill for me. Last year on the 3rd I had my wreck so the 4th just sucked and I didn't do much besides go to work and band, I hurt all over and wasn't really in the mood to shoot off any fireworks. Then we have this year. I have the day off for band and that's really all I have planned. Lora wants me to go out to her grandparents land to shoot off some fireworks so I might do that. I still love shooting off fireworks, but it's not the same as it used to be without the big bbq we used to throw at the house with all the kids running around. Everyone has moved from the neighborhood and no one is really ever home at the house, it's just not the same great holiday it used to be. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the 5th of July this year. Jackie and I are going to Worlds of Fun in Kansas City. I think we are going to stay away from the Rip Cord this year, that was enough excitement to last a few years. I think it will be a lot more fun this year since I have healed from my whiplash I got during my wreck. We are planning on going to Oceans of Fun also, I've wanted to go there ever since I was little so I'm excited about that.

Working 11-5 everyday is quite boring. I could be doing much more with my life than sitting here on the net. Oh well I have applied for a bunch of scholarships this summer while I was at work so hopefully it will pay off. Anyway, I'm still bored.

Some people really blow my mind...

This dude is crazy. He Im'ed me out of the blue, claming to be a storm chaser for Fox TV in Tulsa. It didn't take me long to figure out he was a pretty dumb creature of our kind. Anyway take a look at our convos..

Dtrmndswimbikrun [9:44 PM]: Hey I chase for fox in tulsa
Dtrmndswimbikrun [9:44 PM]: u wanna talk?
Stormchasernikki [10:16 PM]: hey sorry I'm at work, and I had to disconnect for a minute.
Auto response from Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:16 PM]: I am on the phone... catcha laters
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:19 PM]: hey u there
Stormchasernikki [10:20 PM]: yep
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:20 PM]: oh crazy storm chasing girl
Stormchasernikki [10:20 PM]: yep thats me
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:20 PM]: yea well im a crazy storm chasing guy =)
Stormchasernikki [10:20 PM]: I'm at work so i might dissappear at times
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:20 PM]: okay what do u do for work
Stormchasernikki [10:20 PM]: haha great :)
Stormchasernikki [10:20 PM]: I work at Domino's Pizza
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:20 PM]: right on! =)
Stormchasernikki [10:21 PM]: I'm home for the summer in Missouri
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:21 PM]: ohhh okay cool deal
Stormchasernikki [10:21 PM]: right now im playing the manager part.. sometimes i play the driver part, whatever they need
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:21 PM]: so what math have you hit?
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:21 PM]: at OU?
Stormchasernikki [10:22 PM]: I was in Calc 2 last semester, i dropped out though because i caught a bad case of mono..yuck.. but anyway i'll be in it again in the fall
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:24 PM]: yea i thought about meteorology but at the same time its pointless for me because I cannot sit in front of a computer all the time. And anyways the best storm chasers have other jobs and then do the chasing on the side
Stormchasernikki [10:26 PM]: yeah, i'm going into research metr hopefully
Stormchasernikki [10:26 PM]: i like computers so i dont mind that much
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:26 PM]: well thats cool
Stormchasernikki [10:26 PM]: brb
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:26 PM]: how long have u been chasing
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:26 PM]: k
Stormchasernikki [10:32 PM]: sorry, pizza hut just failed their evaluation ahahaha
Stormchasernikki [10:33 PM]: i've been chasing for about 4 years up here in missouri
Stormchasernikki [10:33 PM]: we ordered from the hut about an hour ago, we work in a building conjoined with texaco so they ordered for us, so we got it half off. lol what fun
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:33 PM]: in missouri too many freaking hills

Stormchasernikki [10:34 PM]: yeah its kind of tough around here
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:34 PM]: its too dangerous
Stormchasernikki [10:34 PM]: nah, its not that bad if you know what you're doing and know the area
Stormchasernikki [10:35 PM]: especially in the river bottoms
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:35 PM]: yea well when you are in the river bottoms and a tornado tops a hill what do you do then?
Stormchasernikki [10:35 PM]: about a month ago when we had that tornado outbreak up in northern missouri we got to see some really good weather, finally i got to see my first tornado.
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:35 PM]: i mean you dont have the farm road access or anything
Stormchasernikki [10:35 PM]: yeah that hasnt happened
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:36 PM]: i mean you do but not like oklahoma
Stormchasernikki [10:36 PM]: oh yeah you do, thats all there is in the river bottoms is farmland
Stormchasernikki [10:36 PM]: yeah of course
Stormchasernikki [10:36 PM]: its not really that bad to chase here
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:36 PM]: well ive had meteorologists tell me never to go past joplin
Stormchasernikki [10:37 PM]: northern missouri isnt as bad as sourthern, you got the ozark mountains down there in the south
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:37 PM]: yea
Stormchasernikki [10:37 PM]: up north its fairly flat
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:38 PM]: ive done a lot of chasing about 6 years now and would never go in the hills and wait i have maybe twice and wouldnt do it again
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:38 PM]: way too deadly
Stormchasernikki [10:39 PM]: yeah, i've never chased past sedalia missouri, i mostly chase in the north and northwest
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:39 PM]: do u ever chase in okla
Stormchasernikki [10:40 PM]: 50 highway is a good cutoff for hills and stuff
Stormchasernikki [10:40 PM]: i did a few times last spring
Stormchasernikki [10:40 PM]: it was about like missouri in the area we were
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:40 PM]: cool cause in tulsa i remember we had 3 torando warnings 3 days in a row it was insane
Stormchasernikki [10:40 PM]: over near tecumseh
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:41 PM]: yea
Stormchasernikki [10:42 PM]: yeah
Stormchasernikki [10:42 PM]: it was a crappy season for storms near norman
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:42 PM]: yea it wasd good in tulsa
Stormchasernikki [10:43 PM]: so i've heard
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:43 PM]: yea =)
Stormchasernikki [10:44 PM]: so how did you end up chasing for a tv station?
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:45 PM]: started talking to channel 2 when jeff lazalier was there in 96 and then after that just started taking classes through the NWS
Stormchasernikki [10:45 PM]: cool
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:45 PM]: and channel 2 took me in but then changed to fox once lazalier left cause dan threlkell is an ass
Stormchasernikki [10:46 PM]: hmm i don't know who those people are but i understand
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:46 PM]: well to put it nicely i got cheated out of money
Stormchasernikki [10:46 PM]: so you get paid for it?
Stormchasernikki [10:47 PM]: thats awesome
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:47 PM]: yea for good video
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:47 PM]: like tornactic
Stormchasernikki [10:47 PM]: i see
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:48 PM]: whats the point in chasing anything else. I can throw rocks at my car for hail damage
Stormchasernikki [10:48 PM]: yeah i suck at video, lol i tripped out last month when i seen that tornado, all you can see is the tornado the the inside of my car and the ditch, the tornado, my car, the road, it's rather funny
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:48 PM]: geeze yea no one would buyy that
Stormchasernikki [10:48 PM]: hmm well i don't really just chase for tornadoes
Stormchasernikki [10:49 PM]: i like being out there in the weather while its doing it's thing
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:49 PM]: what do u chas ethen
Stormchasernikki [10:49 PM]: storms
Stormchasernikki [10:49 PM]: thats the difference between a STORM chaser and a TORNADO chaser
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:49 PM]: well you will get better eventually and get burnt out on seeing nothing
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:49 PM]: no we are all the same
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:49 PM]: just some of us are better than some
Stormchasernikki [10:49 PM]: i don't know if that will ever happen, i just like the weather
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:50 PM]: well so do i but i also like my gas tank to be full
Stormchasernikki [10:50 PM]: i didn't decide to major in meteorology because i think tornadoes are cool, i think the weather is cool
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:51 PM]: well good luck cause its only a 36 percent passing rate on average at OU
Stormchasernikki [10:51 PM]: i know this
Stormchasernikki [10:52 PM]: you dont have to be infactuated with tornadoes to be a meteorology major
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:52 PM]: i know that but you have to know a ton about them to go beyond what you know now
Stormchasernikki [10:52 PM]: i think thats the reason the grad rate is so low, people arn't willing to do the work just to learn about the weather in general, they want to learn all about tornadoes and thats not what being a metr major is about.
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:52 PM]: well to pass sometimes it is
Stormchasernikki [10:53 PM]: are you a metr major?
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:53 PM]: ive worked with some of the best chasers in the country and some of the best meteorologists. I know what is required at OU and ive seen who they turn out good and who isnt as good
Stormchasernikki [10:53 PM]: so your saying im not going to make it?
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:54 PM]: no i didnt say that at all
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:54 PM]: you havnet been chasing long enough to know enough is what im saying
Stormchasernikki [10:54 PM]: oh well im getting the feeling that your attacking my knowledege of meterology and storm chasing
Dtrmndswimbikrun [10:54 PM]: geeze go deliver a pizza
Stormchasernikki [10:55 PM]: just because i've been chasing four years doesnt mean anything, i've been tracking weather for as long as i can remember, i started chasing when i got my own car.
Stormchasernikki [10:55 PM]: i dont deliver pizza, and don't tell me to go deliver a pizza

****** Later on********

Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:24 AM]: im sorry i went off on u earlier. I guess there is a big competitiveness in storm chasing down here and i took it off on you
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:24 AM]: im sorry
Stormchasernikki [3:24 AM]: yeah that kind of sucked
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:24 AM]: yea and I didnt mean anything bad by it.
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:25 AM]: its very competitive in tulsa and i do apologize
Stormchasernikki [3:25 AM]: well at least you apologized
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:25 AM]: well i want you to know that im not always like that at all
Stormchasernikki [3:25 AM]: well still meteorology isnt all about tornadoes
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:25 AM]: i know
Stormchasernikki [3:25 AM]: ok as long as you understand that
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:25 AM]: its just being in the center of the country where all hell breaks loose it is during a few months
Stormchasernikki [3:25 AM]: yeah
Stormchasernikki [3:26 AM]: some people are out to get the tornadoes, some people just love the weather
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:26 AM]: u kidding I know that from thermo dynamics to other insane things
Stormchasernikki [3:26 AM]: yeah
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:26 AM]: yea I can promise you this though. You will find very few chasers who only go after smaller storms just to look at them
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:27 AM]: esp right now because gas has gotten to be so high
Stormchasernikki [3:27 AM]: yeah ture
Stormchasernikki [3:27 AM]: true
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:27 AM]: what in the hell are u doing up so late =)
Stormchasernikki [3:28 AM]: it really dosent matter to me that much, if i see a tornado its kind of a bonus
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:28 AM]: yea when i first started chasing thats how it was with me
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:28 AM]: you have to learn how to chase first with smaller storms and then get up with tbe big ones
Stormchasernikki [3:28 AM]: well, i got off of work at one, then i paid some bills, now im on the net doing some research on some stuff
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:29 AM]: thats cool have u ever seen the website called the bears cage
Stormchasernikki [3:29 AM]: i've had my share of big storms hopefully i'll have more
Stormchasernikki [3:29 AM]: nah
Stormchasernikki [3:29 AM]: i may have i dont remember thoug
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:31 AM]: Bears Cage Homepage
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:31 AM]: check out the pics. Charles edwards is a punk but he does some very good chasing
Stormchasernikki [3:32 AM]: cool
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:34 AM]: ive also chased with Jim leonard who well if you ever see the intense hurricane video that is shown world wide, its usually his
Stormchasernikki [3:34 AM]: cool
Stormchasernikki [3:35 AM]: i want to ride in one of those planes they fly through hurricanes
Stormchasernikki [3:35 AM]: that would be pretty neat
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:35 AM]: oh i think it would be incredible
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:35 AM]: id prob be scared shitless going up but getting up there would be incredible
Stormchasernikki [3:36 AM]: i like flying
Stormchasernikki [3:37 AM]: its safer than driving
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:37 AM]: yea until al qaida comes along
Stormchasernikki [3:37 AM]: well yeah
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:37 AM]: thats the one small thing im scared of
Stormchasernikki [3:37 AM]: but still including that lol i think the stats favor flying over driving
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:38 AM]: i dunno ive driven all the way to alaska and back and i still feel safer in my honda =)
Stormchasernikki [3:38 AM]: yeah had a european tour with band scheduled for the summer of 2002 and just had paid my last part of the trip then 9-11 happened
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:38 AM]: wow
Stormchasernikki [3:38 AM]: i still went
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:38 AM]: bandy! =)
Stormchasernikki [3:39 AM]: yeah im a band nerd all the way
Stormchasernikki [3:39 AM]: i got to see some awesome lightining in the mountains in switzerland
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:39 AM]: thats cool
Stormchasernikki [3:40 AM]: it was so peaceful, very loud thunder though

Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:40 AM]: i remember chasing when i used to have an izuzu rodeo and had my rear tire struck while i was inside i felt the volts along the panels
Stormchasernikki [3:40 AM]: yikes
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:40 AM]: it was insane i just remember looking back in my mirror and saw it strike
Stormchasernikki [3:41 AM]: lol i started chasing in a 95 ford escort.. it had a moon roof.. kinda scary in hail storms
Stormchasernikki [3:41 AM]: yeah i bet!
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:41 AM]: i dunno my 92 accord has a moon roof also
Stormchasernikki [3:41 AM]: now i chase in my 03 ford focus haha, its been a great chase vehicle
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:42 AM]: yea i prefer the honda though cause of hail damage
Stormchasernikki [3:42 AM]: yeah i taped heavy cardborad over the glass when i went out, just as an extra buffer between the glass and any falling object
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:42 AM]: LOL
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:42 AM]: ive never seen anyone do that
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:43 AM]: if you are in that big of hail chances are you are in a core that you shouldnt be in
Stormchasernikki [3:43 AM]: im suprised my focus doesnt have that much hail damange, it got one dent from the driveway during a hail storm, none during chasing
Stormchasernikki [3:43 AM]: and i was up near some softball sized hail about a month and a half ago
Stormchasernikki [3:44 AM]: yeah, i try to stay away from hail anyway
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:44 AM]: softball? was there a tornactic storm around?
Stormchasernikki [3:44 AM]: its not fun to be in at all
Stormchasernikki [3:44 AM]: yep, i was about a block away from the freakin thing, took out a silo and a few trees, i was up on a hill tryin to keep from it, i drove about 2 miles down the road afterwards and found the hail on the ground
Stormchasernikki [3:45 AM]: i never seen the funnel though
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:45 AM]: usually when hail gets bigger that golf ball there is usually rotation
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:45 AM]: why didnt you core punch
Stormchasernikki [3:45 AM]: the straight line winds were crazy though
Stormchasernikki [3:45 AM]: oh there was, i have that on film
Stormchasernikki [3:46 AM]: becasue i was by myself, and i try to stay a bit more cautious when im chasing along
Stormchasernikki [3:46 AM]: alone
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:46 AM]: yea hehe i only chase alone =)
Stormchasernikki [3:46 AM]: i usually have a driver and i navigate
Stormchasernikki [3:47 AM]: otherwise im driving, lookin at radar, lookin at the map, on the phone, on the radio
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:47 AM]: yea i dont use anyone on purpose. Too much controversy on where to go
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:47 AM]: what radar are you looking at?
Stormchasernikki [3:47 AM]: i dont have that prob
Stormchasernikki [3:47 AM]: i have a radar program on my cell phone
Stormchasernikki [3:48 AM]: im not sure what it is
Stormchasernikki [3:48 AM]: it works good though
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:48 AM]: does it show velocities?
Stormchasernikki [3:48 AM]: updates about every five minutes
Stormchasernikki [3:48 AM]: nah, but i can pretty much tell where to go
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:48 AM]: thats cool
Stormchasernikki [3:48 AM]: it has dew points and wind direction maps also with it
Stormchasernikki [3:49 AM]: temp, forcasts, alerts, what have you
Stormchasernikki [3:49 AM]: very helpful, and a lot cheaper than a satellite phone and stuff
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:49 AM]: yea the noaa weather radio does the same for me
Stormchasernikki [3:50 AM]: yep i got one of those velcroed to my dashboard :)\
Stormchasernikki [3:50 AM]: velcro is a chasers best friend i say
Stormchasernikki [3:50 AM]: i'd have velcro for my pencil if my car didn't have a pencil holder
Dtrmndswimbikrun [3:52 AM]: ic
Stormchasernikki [4:02 AM]: http://photos1.blogger.com/img/139/987/640/IMG_0223.jpg
Stormchasernikki [4:02 AM]: theres a picture of that hail i was talking about
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:02 AM]: nice
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:02 AM]: bout baseball
Stormchasernikki [4:02 AM]: it was softball
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:02 AM]: that is not softball
Stormchasernikki [4:02 AM]: that picture does it no justice
Stormchasernikki [4:03 AM]: dude i played softball for 5 years, it was softball
Stormchasernikki [4:03 AM]: that little one was about a baseball
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:03 AM]: dude i dont care. There are different measurements and i can promise you that, that is not softball
Stormchasernikki [4:04 AM]: whatever
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:04 AM]: whatever
Stormchasernikki [4:04 AM]: here you go again, i dont even know why i talk to you
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:04 AM]: u really wanted softball u would have punched the core
Stormchasernikki [4:04 AM]: i dont do stupid stuff like that
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:04 AM]: every chaser who wants the best video does it
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:04 AM]: its not hard if you know what you are doing
Stormchasernikki [4:04 AM]: i'd rather save my vehicle than run up in the core of a storm
Stormchasernikki [4:05 AM]: well i just want to view the storm not get underneath it
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:05 AM]: i punched the core on the okc tornado right after it came through stroud because it was rain wrapped and there was no choice
Stormchasernikki [4:05 AM]: thats stupid
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:05 AM]: when its rain wrapped you usually have the choice of punching it or not seeing it
Stormchasernikki [4:05 AM]: i'd rather not see it
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:05 AM]: no thats how most guys get in there
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:06 AM]: its all about measurements
Stormchasernikki [4:06 AM]: its not that serious to me
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:06 AM]: then why OU why the best meteorology school in the world
Stormchasernikki [4:06 AM]: you dont have to be a crazy storm chaser to be a meteorology student
Stormchasernikki [4:07 AM]: you dont even have to chase storms
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:07 AM]: i know that but a ton of students do
Stormchasernikki [4:07 AM]: yes
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:07 AM]: and i hate to say it but i remember seeing a guy have his car thrown on the news that claimed to be a meteorology student at OU
Stormchasernikki [4:07 AM]: yeah and i dont want that to be me one of these days
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:08 AM]: well if u really want to see stuff, take some classes from the nws
Stormchasernikki [4:08 AM]: i treasure my life and my car, and i have the knowledge that says to stay out of the dangerous part of the storm
Stormchasernikki [4:08 AM]: i have
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:09 AM]: okay as i like to say it go big or go home
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:10 AM]: and if u want to talk abotu stupid.. Chasing in mizzou is stupid. Every chaser down here would say thats the dumbest thing you can do
Stormchasernikki [4:10 AM]: I've never talked to a storm chaser that was as rude as yourself, usually everyone is nice.
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:10 AM]: i mean osage county is dangerous enough
Stormchasernikki [4:11 AM]: !!! i dont freaking chase there!
Stormchasernikki [4:11 AM]: have you been to northern missouri? the only thing there is is farmland, its like oklahoma with a few more trees
Stormchasernikki [4:11 AM]: and no red dirt
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:12 AM]: its cause you are on this power trip about weather and how you dont have t obe a storm chaser and you wont do certain things and there is a difference between storm chasers and tornado chasers. Tornado chasers was something that was labled not too long ago on tv. We are all storm chasers. Just some of us go big
Stormchasernikki [4:12 AM]: chasing in missouri is not stupid, i know lots of people that chase here and in other places no one but you has ever said it was stupid
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:12 AM]: ive never heard of any good chasers from oklahoma go up there to chase
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:13 AM]: you never see incredible footage of storms from mizzou
Stormchasernikki [4:13 AM]: yeah but you have been attacking me all along about chasing and meteorology
Stormchasernikki [4:13 AM]: im not on a power trip
Stormchasernikki [4:13 AM]: you dont even know me
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:13 AM]: okay we obviously shouldnt talk
Dtrmndswimbikrun [4:13 AM]: bye bye
Stormchasernikki [4:13 AM]: cool with me

Amazing. This guy should really go find a hobby, other than finding people on the internet that have the same intrests as him and bash them about it. He's not even a meteorology major so he really has no right to critque me on storm chasing or meteorology, yes maybe he has chased longer than me but still, even a respectful person would not go off on someone who has less experience than they. I really cannot believe people that are so rude.

Remembering Why...

Sometimes my job sucks.

So I'm running the shift tonight. It's been kind of crazy. I got a pamphlet about God from some guy. (it's only about the 100th one I've received in almost 4 years in the pizza business.) Then some foreign guy keeps calling and I can't understand him at all. I keep asking if it's delivery or carryout and he's like "yes." GRRRR. He's called five times in the last hour. Then I had some chick call from out at MacDonald Hall at MVC. You could tell she wasn't all there. "half pepperoni half beef one topping please." the driver said she locked herself out of the dorm when she got the pizza. What a genus. After that I had someone else from the 700 block of Laura out at the college call in and order, he was most defiantly high. The driver confirmed that when he got back from the delivery.

Marvin is letting us order from Pizza Hut tonight. Some kind of evaluation thing. I think that is awesome. I knew they did evaluations of Pizza Hut here because when I worked at the hut the Domino's people were ordering like once a week.

*****

My BBQ went well yesterday. Not many people showed up but that's kind of normal for my gatherings. It was kind of sad when Lora said that she felt lost when I was gone to school. I spent the entire day with her yesterday, we went to Columbia to buy things for Angela's Batchelorette party. Then the BBQ. Leaving this Fall is going to be hard. Not only for that reason, but I think my Mother is going to be staying at the house. Something about her lease being terminated and other things. ARG. Once again I'm stuck in the middle of something I don't want to be in the middle of. That's the title/story of my life..."Stuck in the Middle- a Story of Nikki's Life." Despite some of the crappyness surrounding me with work, family, friends, and my car, I have been feeling fairly decent. I'm on my new medication, only on half doses though. I start the full dose here in a few days. It is defiantly better than taking nothing. Anyway, I don't have a day off until Friday, working 11-5, five days in a row, what fun! Ok, well I'm gonna go eat my Pizza Hut pizza now. :)

BBQ...My house.. Friday, June 24 at 8 PM...

Not that any of you will actually be there...

But if you are in town and one of my friends you should. Bring a dish/chips/soda. It's gonna be fun.

I've been keeping busy the last few days. I'm working a lot and sleeping a lot still. I finally turned in my new personalized license plate form today. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll be sporting new plates on my focus. It's way past time to retire the good ol' SG-FAN. My red car was the SG-FAN, my blue car is going to be WX GIRL. Allthough I call it the Storm Chaser but that doesn't fit on a Missouri license plate. I'll be retiring the SG plates to the wall in my room.

earlier today when I was at the post office I saw Dr. Ransom. She was the dean of Missouri Valley's Music department. She was the one that I auditioned to for my music scholarship at MVC. She asked me where I was going to school now and I told her Oklahoma and she asked me what I was majoring in. I said Meteorology. I think it kind of disappointed her seeing how I was a Music major at MVC. Oh well, I'm still considering taking a minor in music I want to take theory classes so I can write music. I told her that and she seemed a bit happier. I'm sure she's not happy that I got out of MVC. I've also delivered to my English teacher from MVC a few times this summer, he seemed happy that I was doing what I wanted to do in Oklahoma. I think he knew a little bit more about my weather infatuation than Dr. Ransom seeing how almost every paper I wrote in my English class was about weather or Oklahoma, my big research paper for the class was on storm chasing hahaha. The teachers at Missouri Valley weren't that bad at all, they were really nice. Just the administration and the curriculum sucks. It's a small college so they don't have much to offer, allthough having the teachers remember you is a nice thing.

Anyway. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Lora and I are going to Columbia at 9 am to get things for Angela's bachelorette party. It appears as though I'm getting sucked into helping plan this party. ACK. I was only informed about the wedding a few days ago. I was going to go back to Oklahoma on the 13th of August, but now it's looking to be the 15th now because the party is on the 13th and the wedding is on the 14th. What is the deal with everyone getting married! That's scary stuff people. I'm not even 20 years old yet! ACK! I'm glad it's almost July, this summer is dragging on forever it seems though.

Ok time to find something else to do, yes I'm at work getting paid to do nothing.

Sleep and Work, that's it.

Yep, that's what I do.

So I thought about taking a summer class at MVC, then decided not to. I did think about it for a few hours though. I don't want to deal with that place anymore so it was a bad idea. Anyway instead of sleeping I decided to figure out my schedule for school and see how long it would take me to get back on track with my degree program. Needless to say because of last semester I got a little behind on my course work for my degree. Anyway I figured that I can get back on track by the end of next summer and actually graduate in three years. YAY. All I have to do is pass all my classes and I'll be done in 2007!! YAY! It's going to be tough but I can do it. (yes, that was something positive from me) Anyway, this fall I'm going to be taking 18 hours of classes, If I decide to take marching band as a one hour class, I may take it as a zero class so I don't have to pay tuition for it, I'll have to check into that. Then for spring semester it looks like nineteen hours! ACK! Then I will take nine hours in the summer. By then I can follow the degree sheet for my major and actually be ahead because one of the classes I'm going to take next summer is recommended to be taken first semester of my senior year. So my last two semesters I'll only have fourteen hours each. I feel a little bit better now that I know I could possibly still graduate on time, this next year of school will be the toughest but I WILL get it done, and done WELL.

Ok now to the crappiness... Looks like I'm going to start running shifts again at work. BLAH. Kevin told Bob, the upper manager, that he wanted to go back to the Clinton store. So Marvin, my old boss, is taking the store over again Monday. I don't know if I can handle the stress of dealing with the customers for very long. I don't really want to test it either, but it looks like I have to. Kevin had me scheduled to work with that crazy dude BY MYSELF next Sunday. I told him I would quit if I had to work by myself with that guy. Marvin changed the schedule so now I don't have to work with him. THANK GOODNESS. That is the last thing I need with my wackiness that is going on with me right now.

I went to the doctor Friday about my wackiness. I hate that doctor, he always finds some other random thing that is wrong with me OTHER than the reason I'm at the doctor for. Once it was I had a heart murmur, then it was something else (I don't remember what but it was REALLY stupid), this time it was that I may have something with my thyroid. I don't know where that came up from but it did, and because of it they had to practially drain me of my blood. UGH!!! If you know me at all you know I don't handle these situations very well. I tripped out when I went to the lab. I did rather well for me though during the process of the large needle jabbing into my vein in my arm. I almost passed out but I didn't, compared to the past, I did well. Now I have to go back in two weeks and see if I have a faulty thyroid, whatever that means. I'm not really going to trip out though like what I did when he told me I had a heart murmur, that was scary because that was messing with my heart. Anyway, he took me off my zoloft. I haven't had it since Thursday and what was bad has become worse I think. Monday I start on this new kind of medicine, supposivly it's better. And what's great is, its the SAME FREAKING medicine my mother is on. HAHAHAHAHA. Someone told my mother that her condition could be hereditary, yep I think it is.

Well let's see it's 3:30 AM and I'm wide awake :| I have to be back at work at 11 until 8 or so...GRRRRR. Oh well I need the money. I'm gonna go watch a movie now.

"After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music." - Aldous Huxley

Finally, a few days off...

YESSSS two days of pizza delivery freedom.

It's not that I don't like my job, just sitting around doing nothing gets boring after 6 straight days of it. I actually fell asleep at work this afternoon, Trish said she about fell asleep at the desk also. It was VERY slow today, I only had 3 deliveries ALL DAY.

I'm still suffering from weirdness. I finally got a Dr appointment Friday, my mom has one at the same time and we both are going for practically the same reason, depression. Haha, sounds like fun huh. Someone pointed out to me that it seems like I'm somewhat bi polar, I never really knew what that was until I looked it up. In a way I could be, if I am I don't have a really bad case of it like some of the people I read about. I am really sick of being happy one day then being mad/upset/whatever the next, or even all in the same day. It sucks. I've only found one way to get away from it all and that is to sleep. I work and sleep now. That's it.

I went out country road cruising last night, big mistake I think. I decided to go over to Carrollton and grab a bite to eat at the burger bar and then head back home through the country HAHAHAHA. Ok, so getting there was a piece of cake, but getting back was an adventure. The way I wanted to go, out by the old family farm was closed because they were building a new bridge. I noticed a path that led past the part where the road was closed and it looked like it went to the other side of the bridge, I tried to cross it and it was ALL mud. I got across only to find that the way was blocked by two huge trucks. Great. At this point I had to turn my car around in the mud and go back across the mud path and to the other side of the bridge. I made it after a few minutes. Ok next plan, to get past the blockage another way. I went back a few miles and found a road leading in the direction I wanted to go. I followed it for probably 5 miles and came a cross a road that said something to the effect of...Do not drive on road if wet. I was like ahh it can't be that bad. :| The first mile was cool, then I came up on some serious mud. I thought I was really going to get stuck out in the middle of nowhere and my dad had just left to go to work. ahhh. I made it through ok though. Finally once I got off that road I found the road I needed on. Only to find a few seconds later that the road I wanted on was covered in 2 feet of water. AHHH. So I got on the road that went past the farm and went back to the road with the bridge I was on the other side this time MUHAHAHA. The rest of my trip was ok road wise. Just as I got out of this mess Stairway to Heaven came on the radio. I was really thinking about if I was making the right choice of moving off to Oklahoma and stuff and then this song came on. My favorite line from the song is..."There are two paths to go by, but in the long run there's still time to change the path your on....And it makes me wonder" That was just the thing I needed to hear. :| I don't know why all the sudden I have this doubt that maybe moving to Oklahoma is not what I need to do. Anyway, I came back to town with probably my car being the most dirty it has ever been. I washed it then went up the strip, a black cat ran across the road in front of me by pizza hut. I just thought, I live with two of your kind...I'm not afraid. I went home and went to bed. So today, while I was delivering a pizza, Stairway to Heaven came on the radio again. This whole year I have only heard that song on the radio TWICE. And that has been the last two days. Maybe I should just sleep for the rest of the summer. I skipped band Tuesday night, I didn't feel like going and decided that sleeping was a better idea. Ugh. I probably won't go to the concert later today either. I don't know why.

Workin' hard...

Yep, I'm at work.

40 more minutes of nothing. We have some storms rolling through and I want to leave bad so I can get up behind them. They are just forming so they haven't turned severe yet. But NOOOO I have to sit here and be bored for another 40 minutes before I can go.

I've had a crappy day. I was fifteen minutes late for work, and I'm NEVER late for work. I feel over all crappy. I dunno why. Yesterday I was sitting here at work with Kevin and he bought like 30 dollars worth of lottery tickets, and I was itching to buy some but I never got around to it while I was here. Later on last night I was sitting out front on my computer and I got a pop up window that was an online "scratchy" ticket. AHHH so then I had this urge to go buy lottery tickets. I got in my car and went to breaktime, I wanted some Bingo cards but nope, they were sold out. So I bought two crossword puzzle cards. Then I went over to Texaco and bought a Harley Davidson scratchy ticket and some other weird kind of card. I took them home and scratched them off. I spent ten bucks and I ended up winning sixteen. So I just cashed them in over at Texaco a few minutes ago and bought two Bingo tickets since they got them in today. I came over here to the D and scratched them off. I won ten bucks off of them. So I spent fourteen and won twenty six dollars. Not bad. But I still feel like crap.

Ahh 35 minutes to go now.

"You know, I have one simple request, and that is to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads." - Dr. Evil

I was reading a book about the weather at work today and I saw a picture of a waterspout, so when I got home I had this picture in my head. Posted by Hello

I was bored one day last week and I had this urge to paint for some reason, so I went to wal-mart and bought some paint and stuff, this was my first creation. Posted by Hello

In the need of cool air...

EEK! The air conditioner has failed yet again.

So it's 3 AM and I want to go to sleep, but it's hot in the house again. I came home from work and found the air conditioner has frozen up again. Blah. I have to be back at work at 11 in the morning. I had to work till 1 tonight, I'm going to be so tired tomorrow night.

Not much has happened the last few days. I'm leading a rather boring life right at the moment. I got my car fixed finally, took them a whole day to do whatever they needed to do to it. It isn't kicking the crap out of me everytime it shifts now, I'm really happy about that. Even though it doesn't do it as much as it did before, tonight while I was delivering pizzas I noticed that it was trying to kick, it did a few times but not as bad as it was.

Last night I was surprised about something. I came home from work and went to talk to my dad and he said something about my car and that I needed to see about getting an extended warranty on it, I agree I need to. Then he said something else that I haven't even gave a thought about, and that was to get a new car. Now I love my focus, and really it's still rather "new", but I'd also love a NEW car. I know that this is only a BIG maybe thing but wow, I have really been thinking about it lately.

In a way it makes sense to get a new car because:
1. I've wrecked my focus
2. My warranty is up in about 5000 miles
3. I still owe a crapload on it
4. I'll be paying payments on a car without a warranty and if my transmission dies then I'll have to pay to get it fixed
In a way it makes no sense to get a new car because:
1. I only have about two more years of payments
2. My payments will probably increase
3. ...well I can't think of anymore...

Hmm so that makes 4 pros, and 2 cons. Still requires more thinking and planning.

Anyway, I have looked at a few options for my "new car" and if I get a "new car" it's defiantly going to be an Ford Escape Hybrid. I'm not to thrilled about the new style of Focus and I've wanted an Escape ever since I got my Focus. I want a car with a lot of room to haul stuff and one that would be good for storm chasing. The Escape is classified as a "small suv" so I think that would be a good chase vehicle. But for other reasons I just want something different than a regular car. I'm kind of glad that my dad said something about getting a new car, it has taken my mind off of some crappyness in my life and is actually making me apply my mind to something somewhat constructive, even if it is a BIG maybe project at least I don't sit around and think about the thing that is bothering me the most.

And as for that thing that is bothering me the most, that would be my mother. She is really worrying me and it is obvious. She's really depressed/fed up with her job. I think she got fired from her job, shes trying to get it back, but I don't really see her trying that hard though. She keeps saying I'll do it tomorrow, I think she hasn't been to work in like almost two weeks. ARG. I'm trying to convince her to move to Oklahoma with me, she keeps saying she might, which pretty much means she won't. She mentioned something about moving back to Marshall, I don't know why, like as for me...There is nothing here for her. I really don't know what is going to happen with her, shes digging a hole that she can't get out of. Ok, well now that I've started to write about this I'm getting upset about it again so I'm done with this topic.

Here's to happier times ahead. :)

Another day at work...

I love my job.

UHG. One thing I hate though, is random internet people. Unless you are a awesomely cool person you better not IM me at all. Or you will receive the consequences. The last thing I need is some weird 36 year old male IMing me wanting to meet up. That is not my cup of tea.

Now, If you are a 20-23 year old male, who enjoys music, weather, storm chasing, and cruising around, you can IM me. hehehe, of course there are other things that I look for in a guy, blonde hair, blue eyes, or looks like Ashton Kutcher.. haha not really. But for real, if you decide you want to IM me..Beware.

Anywho... So I've been sitting here pretty much all day on the net at work. I have gotten a lot done though. I started off by calling Dell and chewing them out about sending me the wrong piece for my computer, that ended up being a 20 minute period of being on hold and the guy telling me it would be a few more seconds. Then he was like "oh I can't help but notice you still have a warranty for this piece, let me transfer you to the customer service line" ARG so I get transferred only to find out that all lines are busy, and I'm going to have to wait like an hour. UGH! Skip that, I'm wasting my valuable day time minutes on my cell phone.

Another thing I got done was getting stuff for adding band to my schedule for next semester taken care of. I actually to talk to the band Director for a few minutes, he was really nice. He said he was glad that I was joining the band and that OU was a good school for meteorology. And some other things. After that I called the Sooner Hotel and made reservations for August 16, 17, 18, and 19. That in itself is gonna cost me 194.40. I may cancel those reservations and get a week long stay at Days Inn for 175 dollars. Some things need to be worked out first.

So here I sit on my dough crate again, I've dubbed this area as "Nikki's office". I set up some of my meteorology books I'm reading in my "bookshelf" underneath the pizza warmer and I have my "computer desk" set up on a step stool, and my "desk space" underneath the dispatch computer. I need clients... Anyone want to order a pizza? I'm the person to call.. 886-6565, allthough if that happens then I have to go get on the store computers. PHONE PLEASE RING!!! 2 hours and 20 minutes more... Ugh.

I'm wide awake today. I woke up at 7:50, Boo kept purring in my face and stepping on my hair so I finally got up. I decided to take my walk this morning. It was very odd to be out and about at 8 am. There were a lot of people out walking, very friendly people too, I didn't think Marshall had any of those. After that I went home and finished doing my laundry, got the mail, went tanning, then headed off to work. Very productive day I think. There's only one more thing to do tonight and that's band. Once again, I don't want to go. Robyn and I figured out why we don't like going to city band anymore. We have played the same songs for 4 years in a row now and its getting old. It seems more like a job now than fun. Allthough I do need the practice and I guess it's nice to get paid to practice. Okie dokie, time to find something else productive to do. Latah.

Feelin' sick...

ugh, I feel like crap.

Here I am sitting at work on a dough crate, surfin the net on my computer. :) I guess that's something to be happy about. It's not even 1 pm yet and we are done with prep for the day. I love my job. I still feel like crap for some reason. Maybe its just my body adjusting to my new diet of fruits and vegetables. I've decided to try this out, along with walking everyday for 3 miles, I am going to start eating only fruits, vegetables and bread. I've been drinking a crap load of water lately also. So far I've stuck to this plan for almost a week. I don't know how long it will last but hopefully for a while. One thing, because I work in a pizza place and have pretty much free food all the time offered to me it is very difficult to say no, or not want to make me a pizza for myself. I'm doing good though. Arg, It's going to be a long day.

Taking things one day at a time.

You know what, I’m ready to leave this place.

I’ve had a few days off of work, how about three days. They weren’t as bas as I thought they would be because I kept busy for the most part. Allthough I have realized something. It occurred to me Tuesday night sitting a Dairy Queen with some of my “friends” after band. There are only really a few good reasons for me to even be back in Marshall this summer. I’m not going to list them because I don’t want to make anyone mad. But seriously, I don’t feel like I am apart of my “friends” lives here anymore. Yes I do know life goes on, and it’s not like I’m complaining about it. It’s just that I started a “new” life some where other than Marshall, one that I feel is better than here. Today I went to Wal-Mart for some reason or another and as I was leaving the place I noticed a girl I talked to a lot my freshman year of high school. She was going to have a baby shortly after she graduated from high school. She came back and visited Mrs. Klasing, our advisor during my sophomore year with her baby. But today I saw her carrying a baby in a car seat, and there was about a 4 year old child following her. Now this girl was married all along, and I don’t think she went about it the wrong way. But it just made me realize even more that I need to get out of here and actually do something with my life. Not that she hasn’t done anything with her life, I don’t talk to her anymore and I don’t know what she is actually up to. Point is, I’m WAY over ready to go back to Oklahoma.

Another thing that has occurred to me, I hate being in the middle of things. I really don’t want to explain this one, but I just want to get it out that I hate being in the middle of things, so if you plan on telling me your drama only to get my point of view of it, don’t tell me, I don’t want to know or be apart of it.

Ah, and finally, I have some hours at work. I went back to work tonight at 5 and got my new schedule. I don’t have a day off until Thursday. I’m working a crap load of 11-5 shifts. That means I get to sit around and be bored all day and get paid for it. Hehehe. Fun fun. Hopefully I can talk Kevin into letting me hook my laptop up to a phone line and get some internet going!

Anyway, on a scale of one to ten my life right now feels like a 5. blah.

What a weird dream...

This is kind of off subject but whatever, what is the subject anyway? My life? Oh yeah then that explains it.

Ok so I couldn't sleep well Friday night since I knew that there were going to be some awesome storms the next day. Once I finally did get to sleep though I had a REALLY strange dream. It took place in Oklahoma. No one in the dream was people I knew. But the places were familiar, other than one part but here it is.

There were storms all around and it was really bad, the sirens were going off and I had my weather radio with me. They were on there live, which never happens, it’s always some computer generated voice talking, so I knew it was serious. This part of the dream I don’t know where I was it started out in a really small house in some woods. The person that lived in this house was some sort of evil person and they controlled the weather, they found me and realized that I was going to try to stop them so they kept me and a few people in their house. Anyway somehow we got away during the sirens going off and managed to get downstairs. Once we got down there, there were a bunch of old people making wooden figurines. I thought that they would do something to us, but they were like hello, are you escaping the weather? Then they were like go in there, and they pointed to a door. We went in the door and it opened up into a city. It was daytime, but the sky was black, and there were funnels everywhere coming from the black sky. You could look out for miles and see a city skyline, but it was in ruins. There was this large building that stood in ruins from being hit by a twister, there were people scurrying around everywhere. This building had many floors and on each floor there was a Mc Donald’s. Anyway we got mixed in with all the people running around, and about that time a tornado was headed right for the building. I took shelter in one of those concrete tubing things they use for drainage; it was sticking out of the ground in a part of the building that was in rubble. The twister came by and took more of the huge building away. People were blown everywhere. I managed to get through it without a scratch. I was walking up through what was left of the building and noticed people taking shelter in these weird circular orbs that were at the Mc Donald’s, somehow they survive through the winds of the twisters. Anyway, I'm thinking a span of 5 minutes went by, and here came another twister. People scurried around to seek shelter from the next twister. I managed to find a car that was in good condition and took off in it. For some reason I had people with me again, and I had to get to my old dorm building for shelter this time. At this point I knew where I was, it was on the campus at school because the buildings looked familiar. We got to the dorm building managed to get in. We all found mattresses and drug them to the lounge and went to sleep.

I’m thinking I had twisters on my mind that night because that is a really WEIRD dream. I liked it though. :)

Too much time on my hands...

Hey, that’s a good Styx song.

Today. I had to be at work at 11 AM. Yes, yes, very early for me! And what’s great, I get to do it again tomorrow. Well today I mean. We were finished with prep by 11:30, which meant we had nothing to do. I decided to go out back and actually read something. I read Erik’s story that I’ve been promising him I would read and part of a book I found in my room. By the time I finished up with that it was almost one, I only had one delivery in that time span. And it was to Comfort Inn less than a block away, and I walked it over there, because that’s what we do. Finally about 1 we got some business, we had about a 30 minute rush. After that NOTHING. I cleaned my entire car, inside and out. Then I got to messing with my phone and found out that I can get radar on it. So I spent probably an hour messing with that. I was noticing that storms were popping up in northern Missouri and were starting to pop up around here. When 4:30 came rolling around a storm cloud built up pretty much in front of Domino’s. Luckily for me I had my camera in my car. I think I started to freak people out as they were getting to work at 5 because I was out in the parking lot filming and taking pictures of this cloud. There was some awesome lightning coming out of it and I HAD to get it on film. Which I did. I was surprised when they actually let me leave at 5 because there was only one driver, Iggy, I guess they let me go probably because I wasn’t doing much work at all other than camera work that didn’t apply to Domino’s. I told them that if they needed me that I would be under the nearest storm cloud.

So after work I decided to go look at the storms that were popping up. They were cool to look at. I went home after about 30 minutes though because they weren’t that spectacular. I was on the computer and noticed that there was a storm with hail in it heading east right to the north of here, so I headed out the door and up the road. Back up to Slater again. I’ve been to Slater more times in the last two weeks than I have been in the last five years. Hey they still have 1.89/gallon gas there so I’m not complaining at all. Especially when it is 1.95 here in town. But anyway, I took the loop around and ended up on 41 highway just north of Arrow Rock. I noticed another storm forming off to the north. I came up on Hardeman and decided to set up on a hill and watch the storm move in. I was on the hill for a good 30 minutes watching this storm form. It was very relaxing, for 30 minutes I just sat there on top of my car watching this incredibleness track its way across the sky, not worrying about anything in my life. Except for the small worry of me getting struck by lightning on top of my car. But anyway, it was very nice.

I had another fairly good day. Hopefully this trend will keep up, that would be nice.
