I'm Back.

That was a weird trip. I don't do much here besides go to school and hang out with my roommates, but I still like it here more than Marshall. Thanksgiving Dinner and hanging out with my family was nice though.

Two weeks left of classes. Then finals. FUN stuff right there let me tell you.

I wanted to get my tattoo this week but it didn't happen. I have also decided I want to get another piercing. My inner conch. I'm half tempted to buy some piercing needles and do it myself. Probably a bad idea but it would be A LOT cheaper.

SNOW!?

Yes. I woke up and there is 4 inches of snow on the ground. All I wanted was a day of sunshine, and this is what I get. Freakin' Missouri weather.

Home.

I'm leaving to go home after classes today. I bet there are going to be like five people in all my classes. It sucks that I have a government test today or otherwise I would probably already be home.

That calc test last Friday, I dunno how it went. I did at least answer all the questions. Maybe I'll pass it on partial credit hahahaha.

I'm aiming for a 70% on my government exam today. I've been studying for it for the last two hours and I got most of the terms down. My favorite is pork-barreling.

I turned in two applications today. Both were at Mazzio's here in town. I really want to work at the one on Robinson street because the parlor is set up awesome like. I gave my application to some chick and she was like, write down when you can work, and I'll give this to my boss. I asked what they were hiring because they had a "now hiring" sign outside, she said something about she didn't think they had any girl drivers, but I could be a girl driver. HMMMMM (what have I been doing for the last 2 years???) ANYWAY. That seemed promising. I dunno if I want to deliver pizzas in Norman. At least that Mazzio's doesn't deliver to the university. So, after I was finished there I went to the other Mazzio's across town, also the one closer to the apartment. I walked in and gave my application to some guy in a managers shirt. I'm supposing he was the assistant manager. He looked over it and said "nice" and asked me when I could work. He asked "It's Nikki right?" and then he said "it's nice to meet you Nikki, I'll pass this to my boss and he'll probably call you" that seemed REAL promising. Let's see how it works out.

Have you ever seen anyone in a red velvet suit?

-"I have and they were doing something illegal"

I love my music class. This was a question in class today, and that was my instructors answer.

Ugh.

Ok so it's 4 AM and I have a calc 2 test in 7 hours. I'm seriously freaking out about it. I NEED to pass this class. I don't want to be a year behind in my major. I WANT to take physics 2 with Dr. Mason, not some foreign guy. I WANT to be able to take calc 3 next semester. I WANT to be able to take Intro to Meteorology 2 next semester. Things are crappy. I think I have crammed every possible equation into my brain that I can before this test.

Another thing that is bothering me is... If someone says they are going to do something... They better do it. You tell me you PROMISE to call me, you better call me. (this IS for someone in particular, someone who I am supposed to be their best friend) ARG.

A few other things are stirring about in my mind, but I'd rather not mention them on here.

Marshall has gone wack about having Twila in survivor. (see post below) I think it is cool and all that she is in it, I hope she wins. BUT SERIOUSLY. HAHAHA people are crazy at home. Marshall's claim to fame besides Jim the Wonder Dog.

Ok it's the second time in 12 hours I have heard the Beatles "Sargent Peppers Lonely Heart Band" song on two radio stations that are not even in the same state. CREEPY. Seeing how I haven't heard that song in about a year.

Crazy 'bout Twila

Marshall Democrat News

All signs point to Twila Tanner as Marshall's woman of the hour. Businesses around the city have been showing their support for the Marshall native and Survivor Vanuatu contestant. Clockwise from top are signs located across Arrow Street, at Marshall Cinema, Pizza Hut on Odell, It Figures and the Saline County Career Center.

Welcome coldness...

Not really. I hate it.

If it is going to be this cold it might as well snow.

For some reason I slept 16 hours last night. So of course I'm up at 4:45 AM wide awake. Two of my classes got cancelled today. Music and Physics. We had a test Wednesday in physics, so class is cancelled. We have a test Monday in music, so class got cancelled. Yeah whatever. We are supposed to use that time that we don't have class tomorrow to study for our test. I actually made note cards tonight for my music test. I'm not sure how I did on the physics test, I have a good feeling about it, but that always seems to not work out well.

I like the cold because I can put soda cans in my window and they are allready cold and ready to drink without having to put them in the fridge. I hate the cold because... It's cold.

Well Crap...

Bush won. It was pretty freakin close though.

This morning is already screwed up for me. I woke up and my alarm said 10:40, I was like what the heck!? (I have class at 11:30, *actually 10:30 but I opted not to go to that one today) So I get up out of bed and get dressed and ready to leave, I walk out into the living room and the clock and my cell says 10:20. I'm REALLY confused because I set my clock back last weekend AND my automatic setting clock said 11:30. I'm confused.

Two twisters reported in three-county area

Monday, November 01, 2004

People in Johnson, Pettis and Saline counties got an early fright on the Halloween weekend when a pair of tornados touched down within an hour of each other Friday evening.

The National Weather Service reported that the unseasonably warm and moist air experienced throughout the region last week collided Friday with a cold front, resulting in the development of thunderstorms across western Missouri.

Unseasonably warm and moist air coupled with a cold front produced damaging storms in Missouri Friday, including a tornado that began in Johnson County and crossed Pettis County before dissipating in southern Saline County. Along its path, the twister damaged several homes, sheds and grain bins.

While large hail and damaging winds were experienced to the north and east, Johnson County was the site of two tornado touchdowns. The first, just south of Warrensburg, hit at 6:53 p.m. and lasted about five minutes before dissipating.

The second twister formed at 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Route FF and Route NN, near the Johnson and Pettis county line. Leaving a trail of damage 125 yards wide, the tornado covered 11.6 miles in 16 minutes, traveling along the ground at a rate of nearly 45 miles per hour.

After forming as an F0 on the Fujita scale, the storm increased in intensity to an F1. At this level, tornados have wind speeds of 73 to 112 miles per hour and can peel shingles off roofs, push mobile homes off their foundations and move cars off the roads.

Moving generally northeast, the storm damaged the roofs of several homes, felled trees and scattered livestock. Just south of Route NN and Missouri Highway 127, the tornado destroyed a large shed and double-wide trailer before crossing the highway and damaging several grain bins. After crossing an area of mainly open fields, the storm damaged a home in southern Saline County along Route K just south of Interstate 70 and then dissipated.

Damage from the storm was estimated at approximately $1 million.

Election Day!!!

I voted, did you?

Too bad Oklahoma went to Bush, but what's new. Missouri was to close to call for awhile, that was pretty interesting, but it also went to Bush. Now it's down to Ohio to decide the election it looks like. I'm really surprised the vote to split the electoral college didn't pass in Colorado. I have been watching this election stuff since 3 this afternoon. hahahaha. For some reason I find this stuff really interesting, I think I'm driving my roommates nuts.
