Finals

I have two finals tomorrow. My calc III final, and the first half of my meteorology final. I've been studying for meteorology for the last two and a half hours. I think I'm fairly good to go on all of it. Calculus seems to be fairly non-difficult also. I still need to go over a few things and make sure I have everything memorized correctly. It's all nothing real new, just a few minor equations, seriously that's the hardest part is remembering the equations, which aren't really that HARD to remember. Anyway.

Now that summer semester is over, it is killing me that I won't be able to go onto my Junior classes. I don't know what I'm going to do for an entire year. If all goes well I'll have my math minor by the end of next spring. But seriously, I only HAVE to take one class next spring maybe two if I want to take my last gen-ed. I don't know how I'm going to come up with 9-6 other hours to stay a full time student. I'm barely scraping by with taking 12 hours this semester. And I'm thinking about not doing band this fall. ~~that means I'll only have 11 hours.

I've been thinking for about the last month if I should/should not try out for band. So far the reasons for not doing band outweigh the ones that are for it. Here's what I have came up with:
Pros--
1. I'm a band kid, I belong with band people, and this will make me happy.
2. I'll actually be in a REALLY GOOD marching band, for the second time in my life.
3. I get an easy 1 hour credit that puts me at 12 hours, and it is cheaper than taking a 3 hour class (which is my option if I don't take band as a credit)
Cons--
1. I have to move out/move into our new apartment the day before band camp.
2. I'm taking 2 freakingly awesomely hard math classes this fall. Plus a 4 hour geology class with a lab.
3. I won't be able to work, which means no extra income, which has been paying my rent.
4. I haven't practiced much. -- not that the audtion music is hard, I've been so busy with school and work that there's not much time to practice. However, I plan on working on this when I go home, since there's never much to do around there anyway.

Screw it, after writing this out, I think I'm going to do it anyway, I work better under pressure anyway. This might be to much pressure, but I'll survive. (wow, I know I'm messed up when I feel like I should say something about millibars while mentioning pressure.) Anyway, people should leave comments on what they think I should do.

Oh and the apartment people are screwing us over realllllll badly with this lease taking over business. They have contradicted themselves 2 or 3 times in the last week and a half. They said that they needed letters from my roommates saying it was ok for a guy to take over my lease and move into my room. I asked them that yesterday. Today I went up there to ask a few more questions, and They said that I had to be out by the 16th and the guy was moving in my room. Note that my roommates have not sent any letters up to the office saying this is ok. UGH. That and they told us last week that if people took over our leases that they would not be placed in our apartment, yesterday, they decided that the people were going to be placed into our apartment, because we live in a coed apartment. That's retarded they could place these people in a same sex apartment and clean our apartment up and gain rent off of the one room we have locked that they can't place anyone in. I swear some people in the office are just plain retarded.

Anyway, I'm done ranting about the apartment crap. I have a girl that called me and is interested in taking over a lease, hopefully this goes well. We only need one more.

Oh and the new apartment is going to be freaking nice. I just thought I would mention that.

Ok so back to studying!

Wish me luck on kicking butt on these exams tomorrow!
(that kinda rhymed)

Finally some rain.

Even if it was only for 10 minutes, we got some rain. Basically I spent most of the day watching this cold front creep across the map. All I wanted was some rain. Finally at about 11:30pm we got it.

Today was pretty crappy and uneventful. I was planning on kicking some homework in the butt today, but yeah it didn't happen. I did however go reserve an apartment. Hopefully we will be out of here in the next 2 weeks! Oh and just to let people know, Amanda and I are going to start a card/game night once we get moved into the new apartment, mostly because we are going to have the coolest apartment ever and want people over. Oh and we plan on having a big get-together/apartment-warming party after we get settled. If you know me your invited, just let me know first. I'd rather not have people showing up and not be prepared.

In other news.. I've came to the conclusion that I am a big pansy. UGH!

More on that later.... Maybe..

Today...

Was a fairly good day.

Went to class as usual. In meteorology we were offered a retest for 23 possible extra credit points. Heck yeah man! If I get all the extra credit that gives me a 100 on the test! Pretty much all the mistakes I made on the test were really stupid. Kinda made me feel like a idiot when I got the test back. I knew the stuff, just didn't get it out on paper right. Hopefully this extra credit will help me out quite a bit. I know I've been working on it for the last hour to put every little detail into every question. Anyway, the extra credit was a start to my good day.

I came home from class and then went to the gym. Well it's not really the "gym" but the place I go tanning. They have robotic exercise there. I think I'm addicted to that place now. I've been going there about 3 weeks and already lost at least 4.5 inches total. Probably more by now. They measure your progress by how many inches you loose by measuring about 15 different areas on your body. But seriously, I've lost 15 pounds since January, plus a total of 4.5 inches. I'm making some progress. I quit drinking a lot of soda. I think that has been the hardest part of it all. I love Dr. Pepper and Pepsi.

I put up some more signs today around campus about our apartment leases. I think we may have found 3 people to take them over tonight. As I was driving away from one of the signs I posted I saw a girl take a tab off of it. I got a call a few hours later, she seemed really interested and said she would call the office tomorrow and probably call me back tomorrow. Also the guy that came by last week to talk about taking 2 of the leases said that he is planning on taking one, and his friend is going to take another one. This makes me very happy.

So much to do tomorrow. Amanda and I are going to go talk to the management of the apartment place we liked. Hopefully we can get everything rolling here in the next week before Amanda goes back home. I guess I'm not going to go home for very long here in a few weeks. Kinda sad, I wanted to go to the State Fair with city band. But I should come back here with my futon and whatever else I can get in my car furniture-wise and get our new apartment put together.

I hope everything goes smooth about the apartment leases. I'm pretty sure it will at this point. There's still that bit of doubt though.

FINALLY

A slight time of relief.

I got a decent grade on my meteorology test. Yay! Could have been better, and I wish it was better, but I got what I deserved I guess.

Only a week and a half left of summer classes! I'm happy because classes are soon over, but sad, because that means summer is almost over. Holy crap, where did Summer go!?

Here's to hoping everything stays happy.

Long night.

Basically I'm staying up all night or at least most of it to study for my meteorology exam. So far I've gone over everything twice and pretty well get the whole gist of everything. Right now I'm taking a 30-45 minute break from studying and then about to hit the book/notes/handouts for a few more hours before I get a bit of sleep before class.

I think I'll do fairly well on the test since a few of the things on it I have seen before or are just common sense.

Anyway in other news, I ended up getting a B on my calc test I took last week! Go me! Also, we have a least 3 people that have contacted me that are interested in taking over our leases. That is exciting. Hopefully everything works out and we will be out of this apartment in a few weeks.

Wish me luck on my exam in the morning, I have a good feeling about this one also.

I should be studying.

But I'm not. I feel pretty good about the calc exam I took yesterday. I know I at least got a C.

I really need to get to work on studying for my meteorology test though.

So I guess the deal is now is that Amanda and I are going to be finding a new place to live. First thing is we have to find 3 people to take over our leases. I've been putting up signs around campus and all that jazz. REALLLL stressful.

Hopefully things will get better soon. I'm sick of the high tension. ARG!

This is what I meant in my last post about all my plans getting screwed over.

Anyway, despite the crappiness... I'm still in a REALLY good mood. Yay!

So much crap...

has happened in the last few days.

Friday we got a letter on our door saying that they had found a cat in our apartment.

This is pretty much the beginning of all the crap.

I don't want to go into details because it really upsets me.

Anyway. I spent the entire day Sunday in bed. Everything crashing down at once caused me to have a massive migraine. I had to call into work because I was so sick. I really hated to do that on a Sunday evening, but there is NO way I could have worked.

After five years of having migranes I think I finally figured out what causes mine. Overload of stress. It seems every time I get seriously stressed out I get a migrane. This is nothing really that I am proud of finally figuring out.

Classes seem to be going ok. I'm getting to the point where I'm sick of classes. Haha. Only three weeks left and they are over, I wish all semesters went this quickly. I have a Calc III test this Thursday, and then a Meteorology test next Wednesday. Finally it looks like I'm going to have a fair amount of time to study for both. Finally.

I think my plan for the next month is:
Next 3 weeks -- Classes and Work
Aug 1 -- finals then take off for Marshall afterwards
Aug 2 - 14th -- Spend time with family/friends, practice marching band music, play in city band.
Aug 15 - Drive back
Aug 16 - Marching band camp starts

If I make band I don't know if I'll be able to work very much or at all. Hopefully that doesn't cause to many problems. Really though my projected schedule for the next month will probably be screwed over somehow. I'm sure it will.

Happy Independence Day!!

I hope your evening will be full of pretty fireworks.

Mine won't be. :(

I have to work till close tonight. ugh. Oh well I agreed to it since I am a very nice person. I think I might try to get some people together tonight after work and go shoot off the bottle rockets and other assorted fireworks that have been in the back of my car since last July 4th.

Ok so as you can tell I haven't posted in about a week. Haha, I'm still staying busy. Last week I almost caught an ear infection again in my right ear. Pretty much I just need to stay away from the pool, I was going every day there for about two weeks. I always forget to put swim ear drops in my ears afterwards and.. nothing new... I get ear infections. At least this time I was able to get the water out and I regained my hearing about a half a day later. Going to meteorology class killed me since the pressure change when I get to class. I'm glad I feel better.

Also I ended up passing my meteorology test. Pretty much the entire class got an F the first time around, but then Aaron let us take a "retake" to make up points. I ended up getting a mid C on the thing, I know I could have done better. I got a D on my calculus exam. Except it seems that he actually grades on a curve, so that D actually translates to a C. Still I know I could have done better.

Last night I got my evaluation at work. It was very informal. Jeff just brought the sheet up to me as I was cleaning the counter and was like sign this you got a raise. But I'm not complaining about that. I still think my days left at Mazzio's are very few. I need to get out of the restaurant business, I got an application for American Eagle Outfitters in an email the other day, maybe I'll fill that out and take it to the store in the mall. I wear their clothes all the time, why not work for them. haha.
