New/Good Idea...

I have decided I am going to make a list of songs that defined 2005 for me. This project might take a while, so maybe it will be posted by the end of the year. But I'm going to try to do this for here on out, just for the heck of it.

Home.

I just purchased my flight tickets to home for Thanksgiving. I can't wait now. I can't wait to see my friends and family, and Thanksgiving dinner...yum! I'm seriously excited about this, other than I will be home WITHOUT my car. But anyway, I am REALLY EXCITED!!! (no kidding, I have been really homesick lately.)

6 more weeks of classes.

and only two more home games. It really makes me sad that marching season is about to be over. Especially since I don't know if I'll try out for Pride next fall. :|

I need to slow down for awhile, so really I cant wait till the end of the semester. Only thing is, we are projected to go to the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando over break. Leaving the 23rd arriving back on the 29th of DECEMBER. As a side note that means I WILL NOT BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS. I'm not very happy about that. At all. So maybe I SHOULD go home for Thanksgiving. It's all craziness, I wish the OSU game wasn't on Thanksgiving weekend. Just crappy.

On a more happier note, I got an 87 on my calc exam! Woo hoo go me! Sorta makes up for the other crappy grades I got in geol and ode. Oh and I actually went to geology class today. I haven't been there in a while. Ugh.

Anyway, I should start on some homework and actually be productive.

I.....

really don't like the new marching band uniforms that Marshall has. They look weird.

Quick Update Post

Exams are over for a few weeks. Thank goodness. I'm not sure if I passed any of my exams I took over the last week and a half. I still have to get back my calc and physics lab exams next week to know. But I got a D on my geology exam and on my ordinary differential equations exam. ugh. 1 point from getting a C on the ODE one though. I wish I could kick back and have a "frosty beverage" now that exams are over but nope.

Tomorrow, (well today) is gameday. It is homecoming so we start practice a little earlier in the morning. (I couldn't imagine how early it could be if we had a 11 pm game) So, I'll be on campus from about 10:00 am till around 10:00 pm. I swear I'm on campus longer on game days than if you were to add up all the hours I go to class during the week. Ok that is quickly a lie, but it's pretty darn close. Anyway, then Sunday, I am going up to OKC to work at Feed the Children with Tau Beta Sigma. I learned today that if all my MC class goes tomorrow we can count this as our service project, so that is fairly exciting. I was gonna go anyway, because really, what else am I going to do on a Sunday afternoon, and plus I still gotta get a crapload of signatures before next weekend. And then when we get back from that, I'm going to a scrapbooking party for TBS.

So all in all my weekend is full. I'm really not complaining though, I'm glad I actually know people around here, it makes life more interesting. And the fact that they are band people makes it so much more interesting. It makes me so glad that I picked up the clarinet back in the 6th grade. Seriously, that decision really changed my life. I mean my clarinet got me a trip to Europe, into an AWESOME marching band, lot's of money for college (well at MVC it did, I'm gonna try for here next semester), into Tau Beta Sigma, and lot's and lot's of friends. I think that was one of the best decisions in my life. And I would like to thank my parents for letting me/supporting me on that decision.

Ok so, the people across the field from my apartment are defiantly drunk. They are doing the whole "BOOMER...... SOONER....... BOOMER...... SOONER..... TEXAS..... SUCKS....." chant, here at 1:22 AM. Ah college life at it's best. Ok well I need to get some sleep, leave me comments people, it makes me happy! :)

Midterms (part 2)

Oh yeah, it is time for the second round of midterms this semester. Once again I am hit back to back with exams. I had a geology lab exam this Tuesday, my calc IV exam Thursday, my geology lecture exam is in 4 hours, my differential equations exam is Monday, and my physics lab practical is sometime in the end of next week. I'm just glad there isn't a home football game this weekend.

I've been up pretty much all night studying for my geology exam. I decided I should actually pass this exam, unlike my last one I took. I got a low C on the lab exam I took Tuesday, that was amazing. Other than that crappy grade I've been doing well in lab.

I don't know what has been going on with me lately. For some crazy reason I want to go home. And with that I have the problem that I probably won't be able to go home until Winter break. I've looked into flying home for thanksgiving, but I just am not 100% sure on that idea. I don't know if I should stay here and spend 3 days relaxing and not doing a thing, or go home and see my family and friends for 3 days in a quick tour. Anyway it sucks. I think maybe the crappy winter depression is setting in. I really really dislike the fact that it is getting darker earlier. Allthough it is nice that I don't burn up during band practice anymore. That's REALLY nice.

Anyway in other cooler news in my life... Last weekend we went to Dallas for the OU/TX game. We lost, and that sucked a lot. But the trip was really cool. We played for a HS football game at Texas Stadium (Home of the Dallas Cowboys) on Friday night. It was weird because half of the people were OU fans and half of them were UT fans, so while some people were cussing us out as we were walking in, there were also people that were like "yeah man go OU!!" Anyway, I have learned to appreciate college football hashes. During our practice Friday morning we were on a HS field in Ardmore, OK. The hashes were to far out. Friday night at Texas Stadium we were on a professional football field. The hashes were to far in. Thank goodness that at the Cotton Bowl the hashes were CORRECT. (Our Friday night show sucked because of the number and hash placements) I never realized how much I rely on were exactly the placement of the giant 30 on the yard line is. (ok well for that particular show) Anyway, the overall trip was a brain overload for me, but really exciting at the same time.

TBS is going well. We had our first exam Sunday and first degree Monday. I got some cool things from my Bigs. I got a turtle that increased in size 600% when you put it in water from my big bros. I feel bad because it kinda exploded into a bunch of goo. It was this plastic turtle, and when it expanded it basically turned to this gooey thing that fell apart when I took it out of the water. Maybe I was just supposed to run water over it? I don't really know, there wasn't any directions on it. And, oh my gosh, I got a lot of candy.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna go grab a couple of hours of sleep before I have to be up at campus for all of my fun Friday classes and my geology exam at 9:30.

OU/Kansas State and "The University of Oklahoma Bombing" - Yesterday.

The game was awesome. Being that it started at 6 pm instead of the usual 11am-ish time made it wonderful. Anyway, I'm getting sick of hearing all sorts of rumors about the bombing that happened last night, and the fact that some people on the internet are saying dumb crap about how President Boren let the game go on with over 85,000 people in attendance. I mean if they would have announced at the game that everyone was to evacuate the stadium there would have been mass panic, and I'm sure the crime/bomb scene would have been trampled on by thousands of people. I think it was a good idea that the game went on. As for people saying it was a LOUD explosion I don't know what to think of that. I read a post of someone that lives in Moore, and their house is 9.6 miles away from the stadium, heard the explosion. I think if the explosion was that loud I would have heard it from where I was sitting in the stadium, regardless if we were playing a song at the time. I realize that it is ridiculously loud at the game but seriously if someone hears the explosion almost ten miles away you would think that I would have ROCKED the stadium that sits less that 100 yards away from the site of the explosion.

Anyway. It's SAXET WEEK!!!! (for those of you who don't know that is texas spelt backwards) I can't wait for Friday/Saturday. 6 am Friday the band is loading up and heading to Dallas. Exciting!
