Mushroom Hunting Adventures (people, it's not really THAT weird, I promise)

Current mood: excited

Oklahoma/other people just don't understand the greatness of morel mushrooms.

With that, I tried my hand at hunting some down today. I went out by Lake Thunderbird. The first place I looked had too many Oak leaves on the ground, the second place had bugs flying everywhere but was the perfect area for them to be growing in. I found a bunch of toadstools, which is a good sign, but no morels.

I did however find some sort of lizard.

he is so cute!

Also, when we were at B-dubs, I found a tick crawling on my arm. I've been very restless ever since. UGH. I HATE TICKS!

That was what my day consisted of.

Tomorrow... FIRST STORM CHASE OF THE YEAR!!!

Annoyance...

Current mood: weird

So... apparently if one of our neighbors has their air/fan on it makes my awesome TBS/GPB/ASK certificates that I have hung on my wall rattle.

I think I might shove things down my ears that I'm not supposed to, if this thing doesn't stop rattling soon.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

omg. it stopped. lovely.

Well.

Current mood: tired

Spring Break... blah.

Mostly it has been about my new obsession with Nine Inch Nails. Mostly.

I made a remix of Survivalism, since Trent is so freaking awesome to give his fans the master copy of the song to remix/tear to pieces. I'll eventually upload it so you can hear it, if you would like. I found this program FOR FREE that allows you to remix songs. It reminds me of when I wanted to major in music and be a producer/person in charge of making music sound cool.

anyway... this is the current equation for my life...

(Nine Inch Nails)^3 + (Guitar Hero)^2 + (Internet/2) + (Bud Light)^2 + Sleep = nIKKi

Yeah, I'm a dork, get over it.

oh.... I had my first dream about The Presence a few days ago.... it was really freaky, I couldn't tell it was The Presence by what was happening, but I knew it was. It came down about 5 times while we were trying to run away from it, a train was going through town, so we had to wait for the train. We were running to someones house that seemed safe at the time. They were waiting for us, and a believer in Art is Resistance. This is totally taking over my life. hehe

Another reason why I shouldn't ever try drugs...

Current mood: weird

I get addicted/passionate about things too easy.

I'm in LOVE with Nine Inch Nails.

I bought Beside You In Time, yesterday. I've watched it 5 times already. I wish Trent had his long black hair in this DVD. But at least he it growing it back out for the new album.

I can't believe that I didn't get into NIN earlier in my life. Trent Reznor is simply AMAZING. His lyrics are so meaningful and strong, even if the song is the saddest song on the planet.

I'm very happy that I can say that I became a fan a few summers ago when I bought a copy of With Teeth. With all of this awesomeness that is happening with their new album, go here for more info, it would truly suck to become a fan AFTER all of this unfolds.

ahhhh. This is why I love music so much.

Time change!

Current mood: accomplished

I think I like this early time change. Yay!

Well the last week was crazy. My GIS take home exam almost killed me. At one point I was driving somewhere and I was thinking about the exam and I thought, if this car hit me right now I would be ok with that. blah. I'm fairly sure I worked on it for about a total of 24 hours in the last week, and I probably should have spent more time on it. Hopefully I did ok.

I spent a half of day Thursday going to 3 malls in the area to go exchange these bras that the Victoria's Secret chick gave me the wrong size of. It was a beautiful day, and just randomally driving around OKC was pretty cool, plus taking the backroads to get back to Norman was nice too. Sara and Amanda came up with and idea of going and getting piercings later that night, which was weird because when I was up in OKC driving around I almost went and got my inner conch done, but I knew I would probably pass out and not be able to drive back home. So, we found a place that was open till 10, we got there at like 9:45 , they made 110 bucks in 15 minutes, so I doubt they were that upset. But finally after 2 years of wanting, I now have my inner conch pierced! I love it!

Friday night after I finished my exam, I was reunited with my favorite coconut rum.

Saturday, I had a mental breakdown in Target. I realized that I didn't have to think about abstract GIS topics anymore, and my brain was fried. I also sorta recreated these coconut onion rings that Amanda and I had at this place called The Islands that closed a few years ago. They were pretty close, except less coconutty, I couldn't get it to stick very well. Maybe if I dry out the coconut next time. I was also reunited with coconut rum Saturday night, and what was called a Pirate Party, thanks Sara. It was a lot of fun, until I had one of the worst breakdowns ever.

New paragraph for this one. Bottling up emotion is not a good plan. I knew I had to put this one off, I needed to focus on my GIS exam this week. So I kept my emotional crap out of the way. Which is probably why I broke down in tears last night. I complain about a certain someone who doesn't talk to me, but I think maybe I'm just as bad about not talking. I keep telling myself I don't care. I suck at lying.

Sunday, I spent most of the day sick. Not related to coconut rum, so don't even go there. I haven't slept well in the last week, due mostly to me laying there and thinking that "what if I wouldn't have said this or that" thoughts. So I think I caught up on my sleep, 14 hours, with about an hour break in there somewhere.

Now to the good news. I just finshed my GIS lab that is due Wednesday, turned it in and everything! 3 DAYS EARLY!!! GO ME!!! So after I go to classes later today, I will officially be on SPRING BREAK! My two classes are cancelled for the rest of the week. OH SUCH SWEETNESS! 13 days of no commitment.

Here's to having a great few weeks of nothing to do!

ehhhh.........

Current mood: distressed

I'm fairly sure there is some type of seagull that lives in the field/tree behind our apartment. I hear it screeching and flying around almost everyday. It is slightly annoying, especially at 2:15 in the morning. :|

In other news...

1. I'm finding out the more I think about things, the more upset I get. I hate it when people don't talk to me, especially when I'm one of the few people they talk to. I have a lot to get done this week, I don't need this.

2. Nine Inch Nails is cool as ..(enter the most awesome describing word here).. I CANNOT wait until Year Zero comes out next month! See this site for more details. Basically it's a concept album, I could go on for paragraphs explaining it, so I won't. It's very 1984ish. AHHH I LOVE IT! Oh and there is this thing called "The Presence" that I'm going to have nightmares about, but it is so freaking awesome. ahhhh!

3. I have the take home exam from hell sitting in my lap. I'm almost afraid to start it. I will tomorrow. BLAH. Not to mention it is due at 2 am SATURDAY morning. BLAH AGAIN!

4. Darren Hayes is the sexiest man alive!
