Last week...

I'm glad it's over.

It started sucking around Wednesday at 9:20 am. We had our review for Thursdays Calc exam. I thought I knew my stuff during the review since I did most of the problems correctly before our teacher finished explaining them. Then later that day I had to work till close, and then stayed up late studying for calc. Thursday sucked because of the calc exam, which, I am pretty sure I failed. Later Thursday night I had to work till 11 pm again, and then stay up late to study for my Meteorology exam the next day. Friday sucked because my lack of sleep was catching up with me. When I got to my meteorology exam I was very unhappy that we started about five minutes early. Precious study time before the test. So about 45 out of the 60 minutes of class time went by, and then we start hearing this buzzing noise. Aaron the instructor, says "keep working" to the five of us. At this point I'm thinking "how in the hell am I supposed to keep working there is a freaking FIRE ALARM going off and I'm on the 14th floor of a VERY TALL BUILDING!!!!" So of course I'm having a mental debate of running out of the room and probably failing this test for running out, or staying in the building and possibly trying to finish this problem that I just figured out I did all wrong the first time around. Yeah, I couldn't work, I was too busy slightly freaking out. Finally after about 3 minutes of buzzing some guy comes in the room and says you guys gotta get out. Thank goodness! I'm slightly angered that Aaron said something to the effect that since we started early he didn't know what he was going to do. That really bothers me. We would have had 15 more minutes on that test anyway, I don't see why we should be possibly penalized for the 15 minutes we lost.

It really sucks that after tomorrow night, I will have worked till at LEAST 11 pm for the last 5 days. I'm just not sure if I can do well in school and work at the same time. I mean last semester I think I did fairly well only working on the weekends. I've been working what seems to be like every day. I talked to Mom about it, and she thinks she can help me if I decide to quit. I just don't know about that one. I know I could do better in school if I didn't work so much, or at all. It's just something I need to figure out. It's to expensive to fail classes and retake them.

Anyway, Thursday and Friday, I worked at Jazz in June in Brookhaven Village's parking lot, in the Mazzio's tent. It was a lot of fun. I got a lot of free things, I love free things. Virginia and I made 24 dollars each in tips adding the two nights together, which was a nice extra 24 dollars in my pocket. I also learned that Jeff, my boss, is a really cool person. Overall I have to say working at Jazz in June was probably one of the coolest things I have done while working. Nothing like being outside selling pizza to drunk people. haha.

Backstreet Boys - new CD

I bought the new BSB CD Tuesday when it came out. It's really good. You can tell they have really grown up. I read that it has been 5 years since their last CD. It doesn't seem that long ago. As I was reading the article they had a 31 behind Howie D's name. I kind of did a double take. It doesn't seem that some of the backstreet "boys" could be over 30. Haha, it makes me feel old. Anyway, this CD is very good, and I am glad that their music style has changed over the years.

I was sad to see that the song Darren wrote for the guys didn't make the album. Hopefully they will release it as a b-side or something. I read the lyrics a few months ago and I think it would make a good BSB song. Hopefully one day I'll get to hear it.

Busy busy busy.

Classes are keeping me pretty busy. Not that I'm complaining at all. I love it. Although I am a bit tired from staying busy. I'm just glad I had last night off of work, I had a lot of homework to do last night.

Speaking of last night, the most beautiful sunset was last night. Storms were moving out to our Southeast and the entire sky was full of mammatus clouds along a clearing so the sun could shine. I was at the grocery store and when I walked out of the store I saw this. I got to the stadium parking garage as fast as I could and took some pictures. Of course I didn't have my digital camera with me so I'll have to wait till after class to go to the one hour photo today. I can't wait!

Ok on a different note... Michael Jackson was found not-guilty yesterday. I think that shows there is hope for the world. It doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks about this slightly weird situation, but it really ticks me off that people KNOW he is guilty. They don't even know the man, how can they KNOW what he did. I saw last night on TV where one of the jurors said something to the effect "if a man shares a bed for 365 days I cannot see how something did not happen." I'm sorry but that is a load of crap. How many children sleep with their parents?? You can't tell me that when a child goes through the phase where they sleep with their parents that their parents must have done something to them. That is just crazy! Now the reason I'm even saying anything about this on my blog is because my BELOVED hometowns newspaper has posted a poll on their website asking people whether or not they agree with the verdict. An astounding 70% say they don't agree. I'm saying this again, the average person does NOT know him, so how could they even say whether or not they agree! I don't think people are looking at all aspects of this very weird trial. Yes it is slightly absurd that the man let kids sleep with them, but as I understand he took the entire family into his home, I'm sure they thought of Michael as let's say, extended family. I don't see how it would be any different than your child sleeping in a bed with a family that you are really close too. Also another factor is, I think 10 years ago or something he paid a family off for the same charges. That just screams to me that it was all a joke. I mean if I had a child and I knew someone molested my child I would not settle for a pay off, oh no, no way! So, I think that these people were just out to get money.

I was explaining to Amanda last night that someone should go to jail in this trial because one side IS lying. Anyway, I think Michael should write a book, go on tour, and milk this for all it's worth. This trial somewhat reminds me of the Wendy's Chili Finger incident.

I'm going to quit writing before I really offend someone.

But I thought I'd rant for a minute instead of doing my calculus.

OK/TX/NM

Yesterday was pretty cool.

The storms were pretty crappy, but the events were pretty interesting.

Amanda and I started out at about 9 am, to head off to the TX panhandle. The main feature of all of the storms we saw yesterday were crazy winds and hail up to the size of dimes at the most. At one point we realized that we were like 30 miles from New Mexico. I decided that we should drive there just to say we went clear to New Mexico. Plus I have never been to NM so I thought what the heck. It didn't occur to me that we would be entering a new time zone until the big sign said "NOW ENTERING MOUNTAIN TIME ZONE" I was like holy crap, that is awesome! We stopped at the Welcome Center and took pictures. After that we decided to go ahead and head back to Amarillo and see if the storms were getting any "better". Of course you know we had to drive right through a MASSIVE thunderstorm. I REALLY hate doing that, but there was no way around. We survived all the hail and rain and made it to the other side before Amarillo, stopped took some pictures, and then decided to go eat at the Big Texan - home of the free* 72 oz steak. This place was crazy, but probably one of the coolest places I have ever ate. A few people were just starting to take on the 72 ouncer before we left, I wonder if they actually got it all down. Anyway the drive back was nice, there was a complex of Tstorms up to our North, and one building to our Southeast, so we were able to watch lightening all the way from TX back to Norman.

So now I can say I've been to Texas, New Mexico, and say that I have seen a plateau in real life. Yeah I was amazed. They are the weirdest things. Big flat hills.

Just a quick note..

Planning a major road trip tomorrow. Actually early morning at this point.

Getting up at 8 am, and most likely heading out by 9 am. Amanda and I are going to situate ourselves in a good place to see some good storm action. I'm ready!

I feel like both of my classes are going well. Meteorology is awesome, there is only 4 other guys and me in the class. Both of my classes were cancelled for today (Friday). I'm not sure why Calc was cancelled, but Metr was cancelled due to the chance for chaseable weather. How awesome is that!?

Anyway I need to get some sleep to be prepared for later toady!

Once again...

I'm back.

I've been back for a few days. I managed to get about 6 hours of work tonight. Exciting stuff.

It was going really well until someone started spazzing out at everything. I don't really care if she ever reads this, like that will ever happen. I can't stand how this person handles being in charge. She really sucks at it. No one can ever do anything good enough. Not only have I personally been victim of her attitude, I pretty much think everyone has been. This is what really ticked me off tonight. There was a ticket on the counter for something, I knew it was there but I never touched it. About 5 minutes after I had noticed the ticket, it was gone. She comes around about 5 minutes later and says "What did you do with the ticket???" I looked at her and said I didn't touch it, I saw it there but I didn't mess with it. Now was I was thinking is..."Why are you accusing me of doing something with the friggin ticket?" The accusation of me doing something to the ticket really fired me up. She does these kinds of things to everyone. It's no wonder most people dislike her. I know I do.

On a brighter note.. I start class in the morning. I'm excited.
